Assistant Vice President - Liability Sales
Job Summary
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Liability Insurance Sales drives growth by leading sales initiatives, building client relationships, and expanding market presence. This role focuses on achieving revenue goals through strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, requiring extensive experience in liability insurance sales and a strong track record of success.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales strategies to grow the liability insurance portfolio and achieve revenue targets.
- Mentor and support the sales team to foster collaboration and alignment with business goals.
- Identify new opportunities to meet client needs and expand market share.
- Build lasting relationships with clients, brokers, and partners to ensure loyalty and repeat business.
- Utilize CRM systems to track client interactions, optimize sales processes, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Leverage CRM tools to streamline workflows, manage leads, and improve the overall client experience.
- Monitor budgets, refine sales processes, and improve profitability.
- Analyze metrics and trends to refine strategies and exceed performance targets.
- Partner with Product, Underwriting, and Marketing teams to align sales efforts.
- Ensure all sales practices meet industry regulations and company policies.
- Define team KPIs, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in insurance sales, particularly in liability.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and achieving sales goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills:
- Solid understanding of liability insurance products and industry compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Closed liability accounts GWP of 30-50 lacs/month.
- Consistently closed an average of ~15-20 accounts per month.
Preferred Skills
- Additional knowledge of market trends and regulatory changes in the insurance industry.
Experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience in liability insurance sales.
Environment
- Typical work setting is in-office located in Mumbai, with a full-time commitment.
