Job Summary

The Research Analyst - Equity is responsible for gathering and analyzing information to support Senior Analysts and Fund Managers in making informed investment decisions. This role entails examining companies, evaluating their financials from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives, and ultimately facilitating the fund managers in making strategic investment choices.

Responsibilities

• Achieve targeted performance expectations for the funds managed.
• Analyze financial proposals related to the existing equity portfolio and ongoing investment processes, offering suitable recommendations.
• Cover allocated sectors such as Real Estate, Hotels, REITs, Industrials, Power, Engineering, Construction, Consumer Discretionary, Auto, EMS, and Logistics.
• Collaborate with the team to generate Alpha ideas.
• Make investment recommendations backed by rigorous analysis and research.
• Assess and analyze market information to inform decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all mandatory regulations issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and overall legal guidelines.
• Manage investment forecasting with thorough due diligence.
• Maintain adherence to the Fund Mandate, ensuring accuracy in fund operations being managed.
• Contribute to the research team's understanding and assist in fund management by providing relevant investment opportunities and guiding for enhanced research reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Education: MBA or CA from a reputed institute.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Prior experience in Real Estate, Commodities, and small-cap sectors is preferred.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strategic vision to understand and manage the broader investment landscape.
• Proven ability to effectively manage teams to achieve assigned goals.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with equity research methodologies.
• Proficient in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in the investment sector.
