Job Summary

The Head – HR & Administration serves as a strategic business partner focused on driving the people and workplace agenda across global operations. This role collaborates with business leaders to address critical people priorities, foster a high-performance culture, and oversee HR Business Partnering and Administration functions across locations. The incumbent will co-own the enterprise people strategy, strengthen organizational governance, and build scalable HR and Admin operating models to support the organization's long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Business Partnership & Talent Leadership

    • Act as a trusted thought partner to the CHRO and Plant/Business Heads, shaping the multi-year people strategy across India, US, and Canada.
    • Deputize for the CHRO on strategic people matters when required.
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of HRBPs and Admin Leads across locations, with future oversight of US & Canada HR teams.
    • Own the enterprise talent strategy including workforce planning, leadership pipeline, succession planning, and capability development in partnership with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).
  • Global HR Governance, Transformation & Organizational Effectiveness

    • Standardize and govern core HR processes across India, US, and Canada, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
    • Lead organization-wide change management initiatives including stakeholder engagement, communication, capability building, and adoption tracking.
    • Coordinate people integration activities for acquisitions, plant transfers, and new site expansions.
    • Continuously review and enhance HR policies, practices, and employee experience across geographies.
  • People Analytics, Compliance & Risk Management

    • Build enterprise HR dashboards and workforce analytics to support CHRO and CXO decision-making.
    • Analyze HRMS data, engagement surveys, exit interviews, and workforce metrics to generate business insights.
    • Ensure HR audit readiness, governance, documentation, and compliance across all locations.
    • Drive compliance with applicable employment laws, statutory requirements, and regulatory standards across India, US, and Canada.
  • Administration, Facilities & Operational Excellence

    • Lead end-to-end administration across India operations, including facilities, security, transport, housekeeping, vendor management, and infrastructure services, while providing governance support to US & Canada locations.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory, factory, EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), licensing, and administrative requirements.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and employee workplace experience.
    • Act as the primary HR & Administration liaison for Plant Heads, statutory authorities, customer audits, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business/Commerce, Psychology, or a related field; an MBA in HR is preferred.
  • Experience: Significant, progressive experience in a strategic HRBP role within manufacturing/pharma or a similarly regulated, multi-site environment, including prior exposure to global or cross-border teams (US/Canada exposure strongly preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at leading change in fast-paced, evolving, multi-site environments.
    • Strong executive presence and the ability to build relationships and influence CXOs, Plant Heads, and Boards, as well as shop-floor employees.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the gravitas to represent HR in senior forums.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and modern HR technology tools.
    • Willingness to travel across India, US, and Canada sites as required.
