Frontend Engineer (SDE-II)

Job Summary

The Frontend Engineer (Software Development Engineer – II) role focuses on designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and responsive web applications. This position requires strong expertise in frontend technologies and frameworks, with an emphasis on problem-solving and delivering impactful user experiences. The role contributes to building robust frontend architectures and reusable UI components that align with the organization’s goals of innovation and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies.
• Design and implement reusable UI components and frontend architecture following best practices.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services via RESTful APIs.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into functional frontend interfaces.
• Write and maintain frontend tests using frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Participate in collaborative development workflows using Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend frameworks/libraries.
• Solid understanding of frontend architecture, component-based development, and reusable UI components.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration.
• Strong knowledge of browser fundamentals, DOM manipulation, and web performance optimization.
• Experience with responsive design principles and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to implement designs accurately.
• Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in startup or product-based technology companies.
• Familiarity with Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks.
• Understanding of web security best practices, including OWASP guidelines, authentication, and authorization protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of frontend performance monitoring and debugging tools.
• Experience in fintech, lending, or banking technology domains.
