Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Relationship Manager (RM) to join our Small Enterprises (SE) team. The primary purpose of this role is to source and manage a portfolio of clients with a turnover of up to ₹100 Cr. The Relationship Manager will maintain portfolio hygiene and actively engage in cross-selling financial products, contributing to the organization's growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition (NTB): Source new-to-bank (NTB) clients in the small enterprise segment by identifying opportunities through market intelligence, references, and industry networking.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage and deepen relationships with the existing client portfolio through regular engagement to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Credit Note Preparation: Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed credit notes for new and existing clients, evaluating risk and structuring proposals in line with the bank’s credit policies.
  • Sanction Process & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal credit teams for proposal discussions and approvals while effectively communicating with clients to understand their financial needs.
  • Portfolio Hygiene: Ensure timely renewals, limit compliance, documentation, and monitoring of early warning signals to maintain high asset quality and minimize delinquencies.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities across various products, including trade finance, treasury, cash management, insurance, and working capital solutions.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in corporate/SME/ME banking.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of credit analysis and financial statements.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent relationship management and communication skills; proven ability to drive business and manage risk effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with financial products and services tailored to small enterprises.
  • Previous experience in cross-selling within financial services.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in relationship management or banking, particularly within the small enterprise sector.

Environment

This position typically operates in a hybrid work setting, where occasional in-office presence may be required for meetings and team collaboration. The role may involve travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
