Job Summary

The Web Scraping Developer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the existing Deductions Link Web Scraping and ETL code base. This position will involve troubleshooting, supporting, and delivering improvements to the code to onboard new customers and enhance functionality. The role requires strong application development skills, with a focus on quality coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot the existing Deductions Link Web Scraping and ETL code base.
• Develop additional features and functionalities to improve user experience and onboard new customers.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data handling in various databases.
• Provide support for Python-based applications and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Analyze logs to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a cooperative work environment.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or relevant experience in open-source web services development.
• Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in Python API/Restful services development, specifically using FastAPI or Django.
  • 5+ years of experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Proficient in web scraping, particularly using Selenium and BeautifulSoup.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Basic knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) services and cloud computing concepts.
  • Experience in writing unit and functional tests using PyTest.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in developing APIs using web frameworks such as FastAPI and Django.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to debug complex issues.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
• Demonstrates a continuous learning attitude with a willingness to adapt to new technologies.

Experience

• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in web scraping, application development, and support.

Environment

• This is a remote position, allowing for flexible working conditions.

Salary

• Estimated budget for this position is ₹1.7 Lakhs per annum.
