This senior role with OAGN is the Quality Lead( Covering both QA technical and QC and product safety) for a number of their EU and Swiss Apparel/textiles brands.
It is a key position which will offer an exciting opportunity to enhance their quality service levels to meet the customer requirements.
Key objectives will include developing and strengthening the teams. Instilling a strong culture of being proactive and preempting issues through strategic planning and operational excellence. Direct customer engagement is also an important element of the role.
The Business comprises of retail and online/catalogue which will be split between Ladies, Menswear and Kids across multiproduct categories including home textiles and Shoes/accessories.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all QC apparel/textile related activities across India production and QA technical including 3D fitting.
- Strategic thinking combines with operational excellence.
- Requires close coordination and working relationship between Merchandising, Compliance and direct liaison with the customers.
- Ensuring customer quality is understood in the field through training, supervision and technical support.
- Attending periodic meetings with customers to resolve the quality topics.
- Setting and tracking KPI’s to gauge and evaluate the Vendors, QC and QA performance.
- Evaluating the factories and monitor the results on a regular basis.
- Building strong trust and credibility with the customers.
- Training/upgrading/coaching staff to maintain the performance.
- Leading and Coordinating the investigations into customer complaints/claims. Accordingly planning of appropriate corrective action plan.
- Engaging with Merchandising team to discuss sourcing strategy.
- Monitor the physical/chemical test results of product and provide technical solutions for fabric/textile performance.
- Evaluate the performance of vendors based test results and accordingly plan the preventive measures.
- Monitor the expenses of QA/QC and creating a lean and efficient team.
- Get involved in risk analysis process meetings to establish a process line monitoring Quality.
- Various Report analysis for order bookings, capacity planning and Quality control.
- Supporting various quality project initiatives.
Individual Must be:
- Technical college graduates studying fashion textile technology.
- At least 15 years of experience with minimum 8 years at senior leadership role
- Familiar with both Woven and Knits garments with proven track in Quality Control, QA technical and production. Should be familiar with Home textiles, Shoes/leather and accessories products
- Good experience in a similar leadership position catering to EU bases clients.
- Possess knowledge of factory safety children safety requirements for EU.
- Sound knowledge in technical processes of manufacturing.
- Strong leadership skills to manage teams and related departments.
- Good problem solving and communication skills to deal with customer and vendors/factories.
- Independent, well organized and strong multiple stakeholder management skills.
Re salary please note ,
- Divisional Quality Manager – between 2 -3 Lakhs Per month
- All India Quality Manager -- between 5- 6 Lakhs Per Month.
