Business Finance Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Business Finance professional (Manager/Director) with 16–18 years of experience to lead financial planning, commercial analysis, pricing strategy, and business partnering across revenue streams. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for scaling financial operations, driving profitability, and enabling decision-making in a fast-paced, global technology environment.
Responsibilities

Strategic Business Finance & Partnering
- Manage P&L ownership across IP licensing, engineering services, and custom development projects.
- Partner with product, engineering, and sales teams on pricing strategy, project viability, and client profitability.
- Support strategic initiatives including market expansion, product investments, and commercial partnerships.
- Provide actionable insights for capital allocation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.

Financial Planning, Modeling & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning at the business unit level.
- Build and maintain robust financial models for revenue, operating expenses, margins, and scenario planning.
- Deliver financial insights to support investment decisions and executive strategy.

Performance Reporting & Analytics
- Design and deliver management dashboards, variance analysis, and KPI reports.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business review presentations for executive leadership and board.
- Track and recommend performance improvement initiatives across functions.

Cost & Process Management
- Monitor engineering costs, delivery margins, and license usage to improve profitability.
- Drive process enhancements in FP&A systems (e.g., Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau) to increase agility and accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and delivery teams on capacity planning and resource utilization.

Governance, Compliance & Systems
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with statutory norms (SEZ/STPI, GST, transfer pricing).
- Manage audits, tax filings, and adherence to financial governance standards.
- Strengthen internal controls, corporate policies, and reporting processes.

Team Leadership & Transformation
- Collaborate with a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Champion digital transformation and automation of the FP&A function using modern Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and data-driven tools.
Qualifications
- Experience: 16–18 years in business finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or commercial finance, ideally in mid-sized product/IP-led technology or engineering services organizations.
- Education: MBA (Finance), CA, or CFA preferred.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong financial modeling, scenario planning, and advanced Excel skills (formulas, VBA, pivot tables).
- Experience with FP&A/EPM tools (Anaplan, Hyperion, Oracle, SAP, Tally, etc.).
- Knowledge of Indian and international accounting and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional partnering skills.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing and scaling finance teams.
