Network Engineer

Job Summary

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level networking solutions, with a strong focus on SD-WAN technology and cloud network automation. This role supports the organization’s IT infrastructure goals by ensuring robust, secure, and scalable network connectivity across multiple locations and cloud environments. The position is contractual and requires a blend of technical expertise, automation skills, and experience in enterprise and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) solutions for enterprise environments.
• Administer and maintain Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and security enforcement.
• Implement and manage enterprise-level switching infrastructure to support business operations.
• Automate network configurations and deployments using Python and AWS CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to align network infrastructure with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise network performance and security across on-premise and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking roles.
• Proficiency in SD-WAN technologies and enterprise-level switching.
• Strong experience with Cisco ISE administration and network access control.
• Advanced skills in cloud network automation, particularly with AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficient in Python programming for scripting and automation.
• Experience managing networks in DevOps-oriented environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or equivalent.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools beyond AWS CloudFormation (e.g., Terraform).
• Scripting experience in additional languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in a network engineering or related technical role, preferably in large-scale enterprise or cloud environments.
• Demonstrable experience implementing SD-WAN, managing Cisco ISE, and automating network processes in cloud settings.

Environment

• Contractual position based in Pune, Bangalore, Noida, Mumbai, or Hyderabad.
• Potential for hybrid work (onsite and remote), depending on project requirements.
• Fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment focused on enterprise network innovation and automation.
• May involve occasional travel between office locations or to client sites as required.
