Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The Engineering Manager will lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality technology solutions. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and align with the company’s goals. The Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, improving processes, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects to ensure they meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and operations, to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Drive process improvements and best practices within the engineering team.
  • Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and risk mitigation.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and innovative team culture aligned with organizational values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in hiring and building high-performing engineering teams.
  • Exposure to project management tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and modern development frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or technology-driven environment.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Experience managing teams, delivering software products, and working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Salary

  • ₹5,000,000 – ₹6,000,000 per annum
