Job Description – General Manager & Lead – General Trade, SuperYou About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented General Trade Lead to build and scale our GT business across India. This role will include driving penetration in existing territories, expansion into new markets, monitoring distributor performance, ensuring retail coverage and growth in secondary sales. This is a 0 to 1 to 10 role, which requires a lot of patience and persistence. The role reports to the COO of the Company. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the ground, building systems from scratch, and scaling a brand rapidly in the Indian retail ecosystem. Key Responsibilities General Trade Growth & Expansion  Build and execute the general trade growth plan in line with company goals  Identify priority states, cities, and towns for expansion  Increase the number of active retail outlets selling our products and improve sales per outlet  Lead general trade launches for new products and pack sizes Distributor Management  Appoint and onboard distributors in new and existing markets  Ensure distributors are profitable and motivated to grow the business  Manage distributor performance through clear targets and review mechanisms<br /> Sales Execution and Field Team  Build and manage the field sales team as the business scales  Define daily coverage plans, beats, and productivity expectations  Ensure strong in-store execution: product availability, visibility, and freshness  Improve salesperson productivity (outlets covered, orders taken, conversion) Trade Promotions and Visibility  Design and run retailer and distributor schemes to drive offtake  Work closely with marketing to ensure the right pack sizes, pricing, and in-store materials for general trade  Track the effectiveness of promotions and trade spends Planning, Forecasting and Reviews  Own monthly and quarterly sales planning for general trade  Track primary sales, secondary sales, and distributor inventory Preferred Qualification  Bachelor’s degree in any discipline  10-15 years of experience in sales with at least 5-8 years in GT sales, preferably some experience in the Mumbai/Pune markets  Experience managing multi-city or multi-state sales team  Prior experience in FMCG, Nutrition, or Consumer Goods is a must<br /> What We Offer  A chance to be a part of a brand’s 0 to 1 to 100 journey by having a high-impact role in one of the fast-growing, new-age organization.  Autonomy to shape strategy, execute at scale, and own outcomes.  Competitive compensation.
