Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Credit Manager (MSME) to join our team. The candidate must have a passion for credit and be able to work collaboratively with other stakeholders. This role is crucial in assessing borrowers' profiles, repayment capacity, and income stability, contributing to the overall success of the organization, particularly in Physical PD into Homeloan and Loan Against Property (LAP) with an emphasis on affordable housing experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess borrowers' profiles, repayment capacity, and income stability.
- Conduct visits to business premises, properties, and residences of customers during the due diligence process.
- Understand actual business income and expenses of customers beyond reported income.
- Analyze customer creditworthiness and intention to repay loans through document analysis and observations.
- Study, analyze, and interpret legal and technical reports of properties.
- Underwrite and sanction business loan/MSME loan files sourced by the sales team.
- Communicate and coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth processing of loan applications.
- Maintain turnaround time (TAT) as per guidelines and escalate cases to decision points.
- Monitor non-starters and first EMI bounce trends, reporting on various management information systems (MIS) to track portfolio performance and risk.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree with 1 year of experience in credit management or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of the affordable home segment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in understanding financial documents and reports.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in underwriting and loan sanctioning processes.
- Familiarity with legal and technical property reports.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and portfolio management.
Experience
- 1 year of relevant experience in credit management or financial services.
