Job Summary

The LANSA Developer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing systems using LANSA technologies. This role includes working independently on programming, debugging, and troubleshooting, and providing day-to-day support to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using LANSA for iSeries, LANSA Composer, and LANSA Integrator.
• Perform requirement gathering and hold meetings with business stakeholders to clarify project needs.
• Address day-to-day support activities, ensuring all tickets are resolved and systems remain in sync regarding jobs and reports.
• Provide root cause analysis for all tickets raised in Service Now and work on enhancements, including requirement analysis, estimation, development, and unit testing.
• Support Quality Assurance/User Acceptance Testing (QA/UAT) and pre-production deployment activities.
• Generate on-demand reports for business users to facilitate informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in LANSA development.
• Proficient in LANSA technologies: LANSA for iSeries, LANSA Composer, LANSA Integrator, and LANSA Client.
• Strong knowledge of RPG, Change Master Tool, and Change Management tools like Turnover.
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements effectively and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Experience in programming debugging and interface work using LANSA, as well as proficiency in SQL and/or Query400.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SOA Interface, SFTP, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance exposure.
• Familiarity with additional tools like iAM Change Management, Papyrus form designer, ACOM form writer, Service Now, Confluence, and Lucidchart would be advantageous.
