Job Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Architect is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects and enterprise operations engaged with architecture. This role supports individual system or solution architects to ensure that their work collectively maximizes service delivery. The IT Enterprise Architect manages enterprise architecture roadmaps, facilitates assessments on various architecture disciplines, and defines enterprise architecture standards and documentation requirements for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure IT systems and processes are aligned with the organization’s business strategy and objectives.
  • Architecture Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain the enterprise architecture, including data, applications, integrations, infrastructure, and security.
    • Engage in hands-on work (60%) and leverage expertise in Native Azure Services, Strong SQL (preferably on MS SQL Server), Azure DevOps, and No-SQL databases.
    • Collaborate in building API, Event, and micro-services-based architecture and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products/applications.
    • Work directly with offshore and onshore teams and communicate effectively with onshore functional teams and vendors.
  • Road Mapping: Create and maintain an architecture roadmap outlining future technology investments and initiatives.
  • Solution Design: Provide architectural guidance and oversight for specific projects to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Governance: Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new technologies and assess their impact on the enterprise architecture.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams, to communicate architectural decisions and ensure alignment.
  • Change Management: Lead and manage the implementation of changes to the enterprise architecture, minimizing disruption to business operations.

Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft .NET and a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
  • Architectural Methodologies: Experience with architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of the organization’s business strategies, processes, and objectives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to address complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Leadership and Influence: Ability to lead and influence teams and stakeholders to adopt new technologies and processes.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in IT roles, including systems management and implementation of business plans.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, cloud-based solutions, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.
