Technician, Vehicle Dynamics

Job Summary

The Technician, Vehicle Dynamics, is responsible for defining and executing test strategies for various functional attributes such as Comfort, Handling, and Brakes in vehicle dynamics. This role involves system-level and vehicle-level testing, benchmarking, and developing robust design validation plans to ensure high-quality vehicle performance. The technician will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify critical failures early in the design stages and contribute to the development of better products through effective testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategies for functional attributes including Comfort, Handling, and Brakes in vehicle dynamics.
• Conduct system-level and vehicle-level testing of vehicle dynamics attributes.
• Benchmark vehicle testing related to vehicle dynamics against industry standards.
• Develop comprehensive design validation plans covering all test cases related to vehicle dynamics.
• Execute test cases efficiently with available resources and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify and report bugs and critical failures in the system or vehicle well before each design stage.
• Collaborate closely with Attributes and Product teams to develop testing capabilities.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to enhance product quality.
• Represent the product validation team in cross-functional meetings and coordinate tasks with respective testing teams.
• Create and maintain test standards and procedures tailored to testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electric vehicles and their performance characteristics.
• Proven experience in vehicle dynamics attributes including Handling, Comfort, Brakes, and Ergonomics.
• Expertise in objective data measurement and analysis related to vehicle dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and report findings.
• Proficient in data visualization techniques to present test results clearly.
• Educational qualification: Relevant technical diploma or degree in automotive engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with electric vehicle testing environments.
• Familiarity with advanced vehicle dynamics simulation tools.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work environment effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Work location: Bangalore.
• Work mode: Hybrid (combination of remote and in-office work).

Salary

• Estimated salary: ₹1,500,000 INR per annum.
