Job Summary

The Lead Compliance Testing role is critical for ensuring that Compliance Testing is performed in accordance with the Annual Compliance Testing Plan approved by the Audit Committee of the Board (ACB). The successful candidate will design and deliver robust Compliance practices, manage a team of Compliance professionals, and prepare comprehensive compliance testing reports to support the organization's adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement the Compliance Testing Plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the Compliance Testing Team to complete compliance reviews as per the approved Compliance Testing Plan.
  • Finalize the compliance testing scope, ensuring sample selection adheres to policy guidelines.
  • Review findings from Compliance Testing, engage with stakeholders, and finalize compliance testing reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation and working papers are meticulously maintained for all compliance testing conducted.
  • Interact with Senior and Top management to discuss Compliance Testing activities and reports.
  • Ensure timely resolution of open issues, maintaining regular communication with stakeholders, and publish Management Information System (MIS) reports to Top Management.
  • Prepare notes for the Audit Committee on Compliance Testing Reports and outstanding Compliance Testing points.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (like Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) is preferred.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in compliance testing, internal audit, or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of the compliance framework within retail banking.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead a compliance team effectively.
  • Proficient in compliance-related software and tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in a managerial role within compliance or internal audit functions.
  • Knowledge of credit process auditing and credit underwriting, particularly within retail or wholesale banking sectors.
  • Familiarity with developing and updating Compliance Risk Registers.

Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in compliance testing, internal audit, or a related field is required.
