Founding Full-Stack / Frontend Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Founding Full-Stack / Frontend Developer to join our team as one of the first engineering hires. This is a unique opportunity to lay the technical foundation for a fast-growing, early-stage startup. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science from a tier-1 Indian institution (IIT, BITS, NIT), 3-5 years of experience in early-stage startups, and technical expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. Familiarity with cloud and API integrations is essential. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our product, technology stack, and engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Build robust backend services and APIs, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
• Drive cloud integration efforts to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with founders and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and product roadmaps.
• Set up and maintain best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on product features based on user feedback and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a tier-1 college in India (IIT, BITS, NIT required).
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a full-stack or frontend developer, preferably in an early-stage startup environment.
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native application development.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, version control (Git), and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience as a founding or early engineering team member.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with additional frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., Next.js, Redux).
• Working knowledge of backend development using Node.js or similar technologies.
• Experience with database design (SQL/NoSQL).
• Passion for building 0-to-1 products and thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in full-stack or frontend development, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked at early-stage startups.
• Demonstrated track record of building and launching web applications from scratch.

Salary
