Job Summary
The Java Production Support role is crucial for maintaining the stability and performance of Java and Microservices applications. This position involves providing hands-on support, monitoring systems, and ensuring smooth operations in production environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in troubleshooting, managing escalated issues, and supporting business operations, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for Java and Microservices applications.
- Utilize monitoring tools and ticketing systems for efficient issue resolution.
- Manage and support applications in Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) environments.
- Conduct production monitoring, error analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting of critical issues.
- Support B2B functions, including production data monitoring and client correspondence (both electronic and telephonic).
- Oversee offshore production monitoring and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Maintain ownership of issues until resolution and coordinate with other teams to manage customer expectations.
- Deliver presentations and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Operate within Kanban and ticket-based support frameworks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of production monitoring experience in Java Web/Enterprise projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Java with strong expertise in Spring and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with Microservices.
- Strong database knowledge including Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with ORM tools.
- Experience with connectivity and deployment issue resolution.
- Skills in sizing and scalability recommendations.
- Proficient in Kanban methodology and production monitoring frameworks.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with job schedulers such as Stone Branch and Visual Cron.
- Familiar with monitoring tools like Splunk and New Relic.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and ServiceNow.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years in production support, particularly with Java and Microservices applications.
Environment
- Locations include Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Gurugram.
- Candidates should be available to join immediately or within 15 days.
