Job Summary

The Technical Leader will be responsible for defining and sharing their vision with stakeholders, leading solution designs, and ensuring alignment with business drivers. They will play a crucial role in assessing complex problems, improving processes, and guiding their team towards achieving technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the vision for the area they lead and inspire colleagues to adopt the strategy.
• Lead or co-lead solution design initiatives that impact their area, understanding how key business drivers influence their work.
• Review and be accountable for all solutions within their scope, addressing complex problems with broad impacts, improving processes, and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
• Adopt a proactive approach to improve monitoring and stability of the platform.
• Anticipate issues such as component/cluster database leaks and detect a lack of monitored processes.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure recommendations for process and architecture improvements are implemented.
• Coach fellow developers, providing guidelines and support to help them progress and become autonomous.
• Guide the Maintenance group on identifying root causes of complex issues, fostering their independence.
• Promote best practices in tools and methodologies, including Copilot and DevOps.
• Contribute to community knowledge, implementing learned best practices within the department.

Qualifications

• Strong command of programming languages: C++, Java, and Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure and AWS.
• Proficient in databases: both Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL.
• Containerization knowledge: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices: including Helm.
• Experience with message brokers: Kafka.
• Understanding of RESTful API practices, as well as SOAP and GraphQL.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience or familiarity with emerging technologies and software development methodologies would be advantageous.
