Job Summary

The ServiceNow Technical Expert / Solution Architect will guide and oversee the technical implementation of ServiceNow (SN) modules, configurations, integrations, and platform extensions. This role is crucial to ensuring SN configuration aligns with Google’s modular, API-first strategy and interfaces seamlessly with systems like SAP and other internal first-party platforms and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define best practices for ServiceNow platform configuration and extension.
  • Collaborate with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to ensure scalable and compliant implementation.
  • Guide API design and usage between ServiceNow and external systems.
  • Validate configuration approaches to prevent excessive customization.
  • Conduct technical reviews and participate in sprint planning with Software Engineering (SWE) teams.
  • Document all learnings and decisions and conduct Knowledge Transfer back to a Googler on a periodic basis.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in ServiceNow technical roles (e.g., platform owner, solution architect).
  • Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model, scripting, and integrations.
  • Experience working in multi-system environments with API-first design.
  • Experience coordinating with implementation vendors or System Integrators (SIs).

Preferred Skills

  • Mandatory experience in ServiceNow - IT Service Management (ITSM).

Experience

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Environment

  • Location: Flexible, with a preference for candidates in India for proximity to engineering teams.

Salary

  • Estimated rate: $250,000 per annum.
