Architect

Job Summary

The Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing a scalable and secure data architecture on Microsoft Azure, aligned with the goals of the AHDRP ART (SAFe Train). This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and leadership, contributing to cross-functional projects and ensuring the team performs at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable and secure data architecture on Microsoft Azure.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
• Translate business requirements into technically sound and cost-effective Azure data solutions.
• Conduct technical studies and Proof of Concept (PoC) evaluations for new technologies.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, data analysts, and IT teams.
• Monitor and optimize data performance to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
  • Proficiency in relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, CosmosDB, Couchbase.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipeline.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services: Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Function, ADLS.
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Scala, Skube.
  • Automation experience with Robot Framework, Python, Selenium, and Octane.
  • Understanding of data governance and security principles.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full working proficiency in English (required).

Preferred Skills

• ART leadership experience is a bonus.
• Azure architect-level certifications are an asset.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
