Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Scientist with robust expertise in data engineering, time series forecasting, machine learning frameworks, and large-scale data processing. The selected candidate will engage with internal teams to design, develop, and deploy data science solutions that support business-critical use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data science solutions for business-critical use cases.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement and manage data pipeline processes using ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Conduct time series analysis including forecasting, seasonality, and trend analysis.
• Ensure data quality and validation through profiling and anomaly detection.
• Utilize MLflow for experiment tracking, model versioning, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Python (including libraries like pandas and PySpark).
  • Proficient in SQL (handling complex queries and aggregations).
  • Experience with Git/GitHub for version control and CI/CD processes.
  • Competent in Spark/PySpark for distributed data processing.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and Delta Lake for data management and versioning.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning principles and feature engineering.
  • Knowledge of YAML for configuration management is beneficial.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and a capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker for containerization.
• Understanding of monitoring and logging practices for data pipelines and machine learning models.

Experience

4-7 years of relevant experience in data analysis, machine learning, and data engineering.

Environment

This is a remote position, allowing for flexible work settings.

Salary

Estimated budget for this position is 1.4L + GST.
