Product Design and Development Intern

Job Summary

The Product Design and Development Intern will assist in the creation and refinement of product designs using advanced CAD software. This role is integral to supporting the engineering team in bringing innovative products to market. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final prototype.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new product designs.
• Utilize Fusion 360 and Solidworks for 3D modeling and design tasks.
• Assist in the creation of detailed design documentation and specifications.
• Support the prototyping process, including testing and iteration.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss design progress and challenges.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Fusion 360 and Solidworks is required.
• Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills for collaborative work.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of the product development lifecycle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 3D printing and prototyping techniques.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in product design.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
