Sr. Software Engineer - DevOps

Job Summary

The Sr. Software Engineer - DevOps plays a crucial role in building, maintaining, and automating cloud infrastructure and development pipelines. This role focuses on leveraging cloud technologies, specifically Azure, to enhance the development and release processes, ensuring that software solutions are robust, scalable, and efficiently deployed.

Responsibilities

• Provision and set up infrastructure according to cloud specifications and standards.
• Architect, design, and implement Azure private, public, and hybrid cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate on automating and improving development and release processes.
• Manage containerization with tools like Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker, and implement microservices architecture.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, monitor application performance, and analyze logs for server-level problems.
• Mentor team members and lead initiatives for growth and development.
• Build and deploy applications using modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Azure and its managed services.
• Strong scripting skills in Windows PowerShell and Linux command line.
• Knowledge of cloud computing services and concepts (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
• Experience with database technologies, caching systems, queuing services, and email services.
• Good understanding of multiple operating systems.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with YAML scripting and ARM Templates/Bicep.
• Readiness to embrace challenges and work on new proof-of-concept (POC) projects.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps roles, specifically with Azure and cloud-based infrastructure.
