We’re building one of India’s most dynamic, data-driven, and fast-moving fashion ecosystems, where trend meets tech, and ideas turn into real collections at lightning speed. Role Overview As the Fabric Warehouse Manager, you will be the custodian of our most critical raw material. In the fast-paced world of fashion, managing fabric inventory with precision is the difference between a successful collection launch and a production bottleneck. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the fabric warehouse, from inwarding and quality inspection to storage optimization and seamless issuance to production units. Your goal is to ensure 100% inventory accuracy while maintaining the physical integrity of diverse textiles, ensuring that the right fabric is always available at the right time. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of all fabric types. Maintain real-time inventory accuracy using WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and conduct regular cycle counts. Inwarding & Quality Inspection: Coordinate with the sourcing team to manage incoming shipments. Co-ordinate with the QC team to ensure all fabrics undergo rigorous 4-point system inspections for defects, GSM, and color continuity before being shelved. Storage Optimization: Design and implement efficient racking and labeling systems to maximize space and ensure easy retrieval of rolls, especially for high-turnover seasonal fabrics. Fabric Issuance & Cutting Room Coordination: Streamline the process of issuing fabric to internal or external production units based on Material Requisition Notes (MRN), ensuring zero delays in the production start date. Waste & Deadstock Management: Monitor fabric scrap levels and manage aging or "dead" stock. Implement strategies to minimize wastage during the storage and handling process. Safety & Compliance: Ensure the warehouse meets all safety standards, particularly regarding fire hazards and textile preservation (moisture and light control). Also maintain audit-ready records as per the standard guidelines. What We’re Looking For Experience: 4+ years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, specifically within the textile or garment industry. Familiarity with different fabric types (knits, weaves, synthetics) is mandatory. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS software and Excel for data tracking. Understanding of fabric defect grading systems is a strong plus. Operational Excellence: Strong knowledge of lean warehousing principles, FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods, and space utilization techniques. Attention to Detail: High level of precision in documentation and physical stock verification to prevent costly production errors. Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team of loaders, cutters, and data entry operators in a high-pressure environment.
