Job Summary

The Marketplace Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end marketplace business across multiple platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and Nykaa. This role emphasizes developing and executing growth strategies to boost revenue, profitability, and market share. The Marketplace Lead will also manage product listings, optimize content, and lead advertising efforts to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end marketplace business across platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and Nykaa.
  • Develop and execute marketplace growth strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
  • Manage product listings, catalog creation, content optimization, pricing, promotions, and inventory planning.
  • Drive marketplace advertising through Sponsored Ads, Demand-Side Platform (DSP), and platform marketing tools to maximize ROAS and sales.
  • Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and marketplace trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, finance, marketing, and product teams to ensure product availability and seamless execution.
  • Build strong relationships with marketplace account managers and negotiate commercial opportunities, campaigns, and promotional visibility.
  • Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, mega sale events, and platform-led marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor key business metrics including GMV, revenue, conversion rate, ROAS, TACOS, ACOS, inventory health, and customer ratings.
  • Ensure marketplace compliance, pricing governance, and brand consistency across all channels.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketplace team while driving continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience managing e-commerce marketplaces for D2C (Direct to Consumer), FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), Beauty, Consumer Electronics, Fashion, or Retail brands.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, and other e-commerce platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in marketplace advertising, campaign management, and performance marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and business analytics tools.
  • Experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning, pricing strategy, and category management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with data analytics and web analytics tools.
  • Experience in managing teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and content marketing strategies.

Experience
