Job Summary

The Sr. Manager Finance – Business Finance & FP&A will manage financial planning, business finance partnering, and performance management across the organization. This role is crucial in driving data-driven decision-making, improving unit economics, optimizing margins, and developing scalable financial planning in a fast-growing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or retail environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in multi-store retail or QSR businesses, with a deep understanding of store economics, expansion economics, supply chain costs, and profitability analytics, along with the ability to collaborate with operations, supply chain, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Forecasting:

  • Manage annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
  • Build store-level and city-level financial models for revenue, costs, and profitability.
  • Develop scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for expansion, pricing, and cost changes.
  • Prepare monthly financials and variance analysis, providing actionable insights.

• Business Finance & Strategic Partnering:

  • Act as a finance partner to operations, supply chain, marketing, and expansion teams, providing insights on sales trends, margins, product mix, and store performance.
  • Support new store expansion decisions through financial feasibility analysis and payback modeling.
  • Track and improve store-level unit economics (Average Unit Volume, contribution margin, EBITDA).
  • Identify cost leakages and margin improvement opportunities across procurement, production, logistics, and store operations.
  • Drive SKU profitability and product mix analysis.

• Performance Management:

  • Build and manage business performance dashboards and Management Information System (MIS) reporting.
  • Track KPIs across sales, gross margins, store productivity, and operating costs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive monthly business reviews and performance improvement initiatives.

• Data & Analytics:

  • Develop advanced financial models and analytics frameworks.
  • Work with data/tech teams to automate reporting and dashboards (e.g., Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools).
  • Ensure data integrity across financial and operational systems.

Qualifications

• Education: CA (Chartered Accountant), MBA (Finance), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Business Finance roles.
  • Mandatory experience in QSR, retail, or consumer businesses with multi-location operations.
  • Experience in store economics, expansion planning, and operational finance.
• Skills:
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of retail/QSR unit economics and cost structures.
  • Ability to influence and challenge the status quo across cross-functional business teams.
