Job Summary

The ServiceNow Functional Consultant will play a crucial role as a Techno-functional member of the team, responsible for the design and review of all business processes and system-level changes to ensure continual service improvement. The consultant will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and apply industry best practices to deliver optimal IT solutions that support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an integral team member responsible for solution design and review all business process and system-level changes for continual service improvement.
  • Design roadmaps for customers based on ServiceNow releases.
  • Understand customer requirements and leverage ServiceNow expertise to design optimal solutions.
  • Assist in quality management reviews to ensure business and design requirements are fulfilled.
  • Lead internal development of business processes, gathering requirements, and preparing documentation.
  • Create process documents, process flows, User Stories, and Functional Requirements Specification documents for ITIL processes.
  • Prepare and present business cases and functional requirements for IT Service Management Process Areas and Modules to customers.
  • Collaborate with tool developers to communicate requirements and ensure they adhere to specifications (Functional Lifecycle Testing).
  • Deliver process training to customers, end users, and support users.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 6 to 10 years relevant experience on the ITSM ServiceNow platform as a developer or Functional Consultant.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong hands-on expertise with ServiceNow, including coding, integration, data analysis, and problem-solving.
    • In-depth understanding of workflows across ITSM modules, including Incident, Change, CMDB, Asset Management, and Service Request.
    • Practical experience handling ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM processes.
    • Experience with CSDM 3.0+.
    • Experience in Standardizing/Improvising ITIL® processes in large technology engagements.
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Certifications:
    • ITIL V4 certification.
    • Certified ServiceNow Administrator Certification.
    • Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM Certification (preferred).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
  • Technical Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of IT risk management, project management, and technical problem resolution.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Service Graph Connector for INTUNE/Dynatrace.
  • Experience running reports on ServiceNow using Reports and Performance Analytics.
  • Ability to work effectively in large teams across functional and technical streams.
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT environments.

Experience

6 to 10 years relevant experience as a developer or Functional Consultant on the ITSM ServiceNow platform is required.
