Job Summary

The Lead Power BI Analyst is responsible for leveraging data from multiple sources to create and enhance Power BI dashboards, ensuring stakeholders' needs are met through effective data visualizations and reporting. This role contributes to improved decision-making by optimizing reporting solutions and maintaining high data quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently integrate data from various sources using Power Query and DAX for complex data projects.
• Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, optimizing them for performance and usability.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications for Power BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot data issues, validate results, recommend process improvements, and add value to reporting.
• Create and manage semantic models to standardize data across multiple reports and dashboards.
• Administer Power BI services, including data gateway configuration and user access control (Row-Level Security).
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices for continuous improvement.
• Develop informative and immersive data visualizations to clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Adhere to data governance standards to maintain quality and integrity in data management.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Power BI reporting, analytics, and data management.
• Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, specifically Power BI.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, Power Query, and Row-Level Security techniques.
  • Well-versed in various DAX functions.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and trends.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira and design software like Figma.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a role such as Data Insights Analyst, Business Intelligence Developer, or similar.
