Job Title: Medical Coder E&M	Report to: Manager
Department: RCM	Job Location: Hyderabad

 

We are looking for an experienced US Medical Coder to join our team in Hyderabad. You should have a strong understanding of the US Healthcare industry and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes.
• Ensure codes are accurate and sequenced correctly in accordance with CMS coding guidelines and insurance regulations.
• Follow up with the provider on any documentation that is insufficient or unclear.
• Communicate with other clinical staff regarding documentation.
• Receive and review patient charts and documents for accuracy.
• Review the previous day's batch of patient notes for evaluation and coding.
• Ensure that all codes are current and active.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Excellent typing and 10-key speed and accuracy
• Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and procedures
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of medical jargon and anatomy preferred
• Able to work independently.

 

• Qualification: Degree in Science and successful completion of a certification program.
• Total Exp: 1– 3 Years

 

Salary:  25,000 to 40,000
