About this role: The Employee Relations Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing employee relations within
the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling employee grievances, conducting investigations,
and implementing policies that promote a positive workplace culture. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough
understanding of labor laws, and the ability to work collaboratively with employees and management.

Team Reporting to the role: 1 Employee Relations
Key responsibilities

1. Employee Relations Management:
○ Address and resolve employee concerns, complaints, and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
○ Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee grievances, harassment allegations, and other
workplace issues.
○ Provide guidance and support to managers on handling employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with
company policies and legal requirements.
2. Policy Development and Implementation:
○ Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
○ Ensure that company policies are applied consistently and fairly across all departments.
○ Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations, and ensure company policies are compliant.
3. Conflict Resolution:
○ Mediate disputes between employees and between employees and management, fostering a collaborative and
respectful work environment.
○ Implement conflict resolution strategies and training programs to enhance communication and reduce workplace
tensions.
4. Employee Engagement:
○ Conduct employee surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in employee
relations.
○ Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement,
satisfaction, and retention.
○ Promote a positive workplace culture through recognition programs, team-building activities, and other employee
engagement initiatives.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
○ Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes.
○ Prepare reports on employee relations activities and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior
management.
○ Ensure confidentiality and security of employee records and sensitive information.
6. Training and Development:
○ Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on topics related to employee relations,
conflict resolution, and workplace behavior.

Key skills and experiences
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification
(e.g., SHRM) is preferred.
● Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee relations roles.
● In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
● Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
● Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
● High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
