<div>About this role: The Employee Relations Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing employee relations within<br /> the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling employee grievances, conducting investigations,<br /> and implementing policies that promote a positive workplace culture. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough<br /> understanding of labor laws, and the ability to work collaboratively with employees and management.<br /> Reporting to : Head of HR<br /> Team Reporting to the role: 1 Employee Relations<br /> Key responsibilities<br /> Key Responsibilities:<br /> 1. Employee Relations Management:<br /> ○ Address and resolve employee concerns, complaints, and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.<br /> ○ Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee grievances, harassment allegations, and other<br /> workplace issues.<br /> ○ Provide guidance and support to managers on handling employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with<br /> company policies and legal requirements.<br /> 2. Policy Development and Implementation:<br /> ○ Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.<br /> ○ Ensure that company policies are applied consistently and fairly across all departments.<br /> ○ Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations, and ensure company policies are compliant.<br /> 3. Conflict Resolution:<br /> ○ Mediate disputes between employees and between employees and management, fostering a collaborative and<br /> respectful work environment.<br /> ○ Implement conflict resolution strategies and training programs to enhance communication and reduce workplace<br /> tensions.<br /> 4. Employee Engagement:<br /> ○ Conduct employee surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in employee<br /> relations.<br /> ○ Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement,<br /> satisfaction, and retention.<br /> ○ Promote a positive workplace culture through recognition programs, team-building activities, and other employee<br /> engagement initiatives.<br /> 5. Documentation and Reporting:<br /> ○ Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes.<br /> ○ Prepare reports on employee relations activities and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior<br /> management.<br /> ○ Ensure confidentiality and security of employee records and sensitive information.<br /> 6. Training and Development:<br /> ○ Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on topics related to employee relations,<br /> conflict resolution, and workplace behavior.</div> <div>2<br /> ○ Provide coaching and support to managers on effective employee relations practices and leadership skills.</div> <div>Indicative KPI&rsquo;s of the role:<br /> Grievance Resolution:<br /> ● Average time to resolve employee grievances.<br /> ● Percentage of grievances resolved satisfactorily (measured through follow-up surveys).<br /> Compliance and Policy Adherence:<br /> ● Number of policy violations and disciplinary actions.<br /> ● Compliance with labor laws and regulations (measured through audits and reviews).<br /> Employee Engagement and Satisfaction:<br /> ● Employee engagement scores (measured through surveys).<br /> ● Employee turnover rate.<br /> ● Feedback from employee focus groups and engagement initiatives.<br /> Conflict Resolution:<br /> ● Number of conflicts resolved through mediation.<br /> ● Improvement in workplace relations (measured through surveys and feedback).<br /> Training Effectiveness:<br /> ● Participation rate in training programs.<br /> ● Improvement in manager and employee knowledge and skills (measured through post-training assessments).<br /> Key skills and experiences<br /> ● Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master&rsquo;s degree or HR certification<br /> (e.g., SHRM) is preferred.<br /> ● Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee relations roles.<br /> ● In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations.<br /> ● Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills.<br /> ● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.<br /> ● Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.<br /> ● Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.<br /> ● High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.</div> <div>Disclaimer:<br /> The job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
