Job Summary

The Manager – Operations Funds plays a critical role in managing operations, client servicing, and the Management Information Systems (MIS) function for AIF while ensuring compliance with SEBI regulations and other statutory requirements. This position is essential in supporting the overall operational efficiency of the firm and contributing to its growth in the asset management sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations for AIF (CAT III), including new launches.
• Support private placement valuations with registered valuers.
• Verify and finalize Net Asset Values (NAVs) within prescribed Turnaround Times (TATs) along with SEBI's monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Oversee series accounting, High-Water Mark (HWM) adjustments, and issuance of units.
• Handle subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and liaise with Registrars and Transfer Agents (RTAs).
• Manage annual statutory and tax audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and finalize monthly Capital Gains tax reports, advance tax on a quarterly basis, and annual tax filings for AIF.
• Perform cash flow management and provide cash flow reports to the Fund Manager regularly.
• Handle operations across various asset and product classes including Direct Equity, Derivatives, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, and Alternative Asset classes.
• Manage commission calculations for distributors.
• Ensure timely vendor payments and maintain relationships with various stakeholders including channel partners, vendors, service providers, and auditors.
• Identify additional system requirements and work with vendors to test and deploy these systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including SEBI and RBI reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Postgraduate degree or Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience: 5 to 7 years in an asset management firm with a focus on AIF and PMS.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Wealth Spectrum application.
  • Strong understanding of SEBI AIF regulations.
  • Knowledge of products across different asset classes.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong process orientation and execution skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with various asset classes and financial products.
• Experience in working with operational compliance requirements.

Experience

5 to 7 years of relevant experience in an asset management environment, specifically focusing on Alternate Investment Funds (AIF) and Portfolio Management Services (PMS).
