Job Summary
The Accounting & Reporting Analyst in Accounts Payable will play a critical role within the finance department, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting processes. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance, processing vendor invoices, and supporting internal and external audits.
Responsibilities
- Participate in internal initiatives and projects to improve financial accounting and reporting processes within the Accounts Payable team.
- Perform quality checks on financial reporting data, including monitoring fluctuations.
- Comply with Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) standards for applicable templates.
- Assist in internal control testing and prepare relevant documentation.
- Process vendor invoices timely and accurately, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are in place.
- Input invoice and payment information into the accounting system with high accuracy.
- Reconcile vendor statements, ensuring all outstanding payments are accounted for and resolved promptly.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support during internal and external audits, ensuring documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to maximize customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master of Commerce/MBA preferred).
- 4–6 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAP, and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience in using advanced functions of data analysis tools.
Experience
- A minimum of 4–6 years in accounting or financial reporting.
