Head of Engineering

Job Summary

As the Head of Engineering at a dynamic B2B SaaS Code Security startup, you will lead and inspire our technical team to deliver innovative, secure, and scalable software solutions. You will set the technical vision, establish engineering best practices, and play a pivotal role in shaping the product roadmap. Your leadership will ensure the successful execution of projects, fostering a high-performance engineering culture aligned with our mission to deliver best-in-class code security solutions for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and customer success teams to align technology initiatives with business goals.
• Establish and enforce best practices in software development, code security, and DevOps.
• Oversee the successful delivery and deployment of SaaS code security products.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent, building a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven background in SaaS product development.
• Strong understanding of code security concepts and secure software development practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in B2B security or developer tools startups.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior hands-on experience with code analysis or security automation tools.
• Advanced knowledge of scalable SaaS architectures.
• Track record of building and scaling engineering teams in early-stage startups.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering.
• Prior experience leading engineering teams, ideally in SaaS and/or security-focused environments.
