Job Summary
The Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in evaluating the creditworthiness of customers, developing credit policies, and managing business relationships. This position is fundamental in ensuring sound financial decisions are made that align with ABB's overall objectives.
Responsibilities
- Credit Assessment and Risk Analysis: Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers, analyzing financial statements and credit reports to make informed decisions regarding credit terms and limits.
- Credit Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and enact credit policies that align with ABB's financial goals, including guidelines for credit limits and negotiation terms.
- Business Relationship Management: Collaborate with ABB’s Collection Team and various business units to build robust relationships and address credit-related issues, ensuring prompt payments and resolution of disputes.
- Collaboration with Sales and Finance Teams: Work closely with sales to assess potential customers and provide credit guidance, also managing cash flow and reconciling accounts with the Collection Team.
- Conduct Credit Committee Meetings: Prepare necessary data and conducting meetings to review credit policies and decisions, ensuring implementation of action items from these meetings.
- Credit Monitoring and Collections: Oversee customer accounts to ensure timely payments, manage overdue collections, and communicate with customers as needed.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on credit metrics such as accounts receivable aging and collection efficiency to aid management's decision-making.
- Perform Annual Review of Customers: Review all customer accounts to adjust credit limits, risk categories, and credit check rules based on current data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Experience: 0 - 2 years of credit management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; knowledge of SAP is a significant plus.
- Flexibility to work any shift timings.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in credit analysis or finance.
- Exposure to customer relationship management software.
Experience
- A minimum of 0 - 2 years of experience in credit management, specifically within the manufacturing sector.
