Job Summary

The Senior Associate role involves comprehensive coverage of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The candidate will be responsible for generating investment ideas, conducting complex financial modeling, and monitoring portfolios to support strategic investment decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end coverage of the BFSI sector, analyzing market trends and providing insights.
• Generate investment ideas based on thorough research and analysis.
• Develop complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with the incoming Portfolio Manager to align investment strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4–5 years in Equity Research focused on Public Markets.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep expertise in BFSI dynamics.
  • Proficient in valuation methodologies and regulatory frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (CFA, CA) is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with investment strategies of buy-side funds, Asset Management Companies (AMCs), Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), or top-tier sell-side brokerages.
• Experience working with family offices would be an advantage.

Experience

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in Equity Research with a strong professional pedigree focusing on public markets.
