Role Overview:
As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, building robust customer relationships, and overseeing the performance of our commercial vehicle sales operations within your assigned territory. This is a high-impact position requiring a strategic mindset, industry expertise, and a passion for electric mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement regional sales plans to achieve organizational revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities to expand market presence.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with key customers, fleet operators, and stakeholders.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing queries and ensuring satisfaction.
- Market Analysis & Insights:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide data-driven insights to the leadership team to guide decision-making.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with dealership teams to ensure smooth showroom operations and effective customer engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, service, and supply chain for seamless operations.
- Performance Metrics:
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales volume, market share, and profitability for the assigned region.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 6-12 years in sales, with a focus on commercial vehicles (3-wheeler/4-wheeler sub-1-tonne category).
- Regional Expertise: Proficiency in the local language of the assigned region is mandatory.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the commercial vehicle market, including SCV, LCV, and passenger vehicles.
- Strategic Skills: Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
- Network Development: Proven ability to expand and manage dealer and distribution networks.
- Education: Master’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
