Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
Driving Sales & Margin:
- Deliver P&L for the assigned category
- Achieve top-line revenue goals by securing the right brands at the right margins
- Develop, implement, manage, and report on plans to ensure the right SKUs are available
- Manage promotion calendars to align with monthly, seasonal, and overall marketing strategies
Monitoring Brand Performance:
- Negotiate margins, set budgets and goals, monitor and report on brand performance
- Plan and execute brand campaigns across various channels and take corrective actions as needed
- Ensure brand recognition and awareness targets are met
- Report performance against key metrics in approved formats
Inventory Management & Cataloguing:
- Forecast stock for initial launches based on store and channel-wise sales targets
- Plan demand and forward forecasts
- Collaborate with the sales team for effective offtake at the store level
- Plan for inventory correction/liquidation
- Maintain regular feedback with brands to ensure alignment with all plans
Category Management:
- Define the business direction and execute the roadmap across Product, Business Development, Partner & Customer experience, and Marketing functions
- Bring in relevant assortments, design targeted promotions, and manage partnerships with sellers and brands
- Maintain balance between MOM growth for current sellers and ensure seller distribution by acquiring new sellers and growing the business for current ones
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key brands
- Ensure category sellers deliver a good experience for buyers
- Conduct demand and trend forecasting and onboard appropriate regional supplies
