Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Snowflake Data Quality & SQL Engineer to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data within Snowflake. This role focuses on robust testing of data transformations and ingestion processes, contributing to the overall data integrity in our organization.
Responsibilities
- Interpret Data Mapping Documents: Analyze and understand complex data mapping specifications to ensure accurate translation of business rules into data transformations.
- Develop Advanced SQL Tests: Design and write intricate SQL queries within Snowflake to validate data quality, integrity, and transformation logic.
- Perform ETL Testing: Execute comprehensive Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) testing, including data validation, reconciliation, and defect identification.
- Automate Ingestion Testing with Python: Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate testing of file ingestion processes into Snowflake, ensuring that data lands correctly and efficiently.
- Collaborate and Report: Work closely with data engineers and stakeholders to troubleshoot data issues, document findings, and contribute to continuous data quality improvements.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake, and ETL processes.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data requirements.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
