Job Summary

The Technical Governance Specialist is responsible for designing and optimizing governance frameworks that align with organizational objectives. This role focuses on establishing workflows for policy enforcement and ensuring consistency and accuracy in data practices across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize governance frameworks to meet organizational objectives.
• Establish workflows for policy enforcement, metadata management, and data stewardship.
• Lead efforts to standardize data practices across various teams, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Integrate governance tools with data platforms to automate compliance, lineage tracking, and auditing processes.
• Implement the existing governance framework at Associated, including identifying Critical Data Elements (CDEs), filling in definitions and glossaries, and defining data quality rules.
• Update the business glossary of the semantic layer, gold layer, and identify and record Power BI model elements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Atacama Data Governance (DG) tools.
• Expertise in data governance frameworks and practices.
• Proficiency in workflow automation and metadata management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with data compliance and auditing processes.
• Ability to work with data stewardship and policy enforcement.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data governance tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of Power BI and business intelligence practices.
• Familiarity with data quality management principles.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related technical roles, with a focus on governance frameworks.
