Job Summary

The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the scope, budget, and schedule for Building Management System (BMS) and power management projects. This role requires collaboration with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful execution and improvement of BMS projects in data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMS and power management project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and level of efforts (LOE) based on customer and stakeholder requests.
• Manage the scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS improvement projects within BDx data centers.
• Assist in procurement activities, including the preparation of requests for quotations/proposals, responding to requests for information, reviewing vendor proposals, and issuing purchase orders.
• Support commissioning activities for controls projects within data centers.
• Conduct engineering analysis and research on design methods for data center equipment and facilities.
• Ensure that designs and installations meet all operational, cooling, and structural requirements.
• Develop remediation playbooks for data center vulnerabilities in control system design, collaborating closely with IT teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of industry-standard electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers.
  • Expertise in HVAC Controls, Electrical SCADA systems, and Building Management System (BMS) Controls software and networks.
  • Proficient in developing and modifying controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS communication protocols.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong project coordination experience with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables, navigate challenging situations, and meet project requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience or knowledge in advanced data center operations and project management methodologies would be beneficial.

Experience

• A minimum of 10+ years in designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems.
