Job Summary
Scrabble is looking for a highly driven and creative Marketing & Strategy Lead to build and scale the company’s brand presence across the startup, venture capital, and leadership ecosystem. This is a high-ownership role for someone who understands storytelling, strategic communication, brand building, and ecosystem engagement. The ideal candidate will work closely with the leadership team to execute strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen Scrabble’s positioning within the startup and venture ecosystem.
Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Brand Building
- Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with Scrabble’s business goals.
- Build and strengthen Scrabble’s positioning within the startup and venture ecosystem.
- Drive brand awareness initiatives through content, campaigns, partnerships, and industry engagement.
- Identify new growth opportunities and strategic collaborations to expand market visibility.
- Create differentiated brand narratives and communication frameworks.

Content & Thought Leadership
- Lead end-to-end content strategy across digital and offline platforms.
- Create high-quality thought leadership content including blogs, founder stories, leadership interviews, newsletters, podcasts, LinkedIn content, and industry reports.
- Collaborate with founders, investors, operators, and internal stakeholders to develop insightful narratives.
- Oversee content calendars and ensure consistency in brand tone and messaging.

Event & Community Management
- Plan and execute high-impact ecosystem events, leadership roundtables, networking sessions, and founder/investor engagements.
- Own event execution end-to-end including concept development, budgeting, vendor coordination, venue management, speaker engagement, marketing communication, and on-ground execution.
- Ensure seamless attendee experience and strong brand representation at all events.

Media & Public Relations
- Build relationships with journalists, media platforms, podcast hosts, and industry publications.
- Identify opportunities for external visibility and strategic brand placements.
- Draft press releases, media notes, founder stories, and external communication material.
- Drive PR initiatives to strengthen brand visibility across startup and business ecosystems.

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement
- Engage regularly with founders, investors, senior operators, and ecosystem leaders.
- Build and maintain a strong professional network across venture capital, startups, SaaS, fintech, and emerging sectors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives.

Strategy & Market Insights
- Analyze marketing trends, ecosystem developments, and competitive positioning.
- Track campaign performance and marketing effectiveness using data and insights.
- Contribute to strategic planning and long-term brand initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 7–10 years in marketing, brand strategy, content marketing, community building, and media & communications.

Experience
7–10 years of relevant experience in marketing, brand strategy, content marketing, and community building.
