Job Summary

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Software Engineer (Backend/Fullstack) to join our growing Fintech team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 engineering college and will have solid experience using Python and Java for building robust, scalable backend or fullstack applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Java or Python, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Integrate frontend elements with server-side logic if working as a fullstack engineer.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best development practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Participate in peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized Tier 1/Tier 2 college. Examples include IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, IISc Bangalore, VIT, MNIT Jaipur, COEP Pune, MIT Manipal, ICT Mumbai, KIIT Bhubaneswar, Shiv Nadar University, etc.
• 2+ years experience in backend or fullstack software engineering roles, ideally in fintech or financial services.
• Proficiency in Python and Java for backend development (experience with frameworks like Django/Flask for Python, Spring Boot for Java is highly valued).
• Hands-on expertise in database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React/Angular) is a big plus for Fullstack roles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
