Job Summary

The AI/ML Platform Architect will play a key role in architecting the next generation of industrial AI platforms. This position focuses on leading the development of scalable MLOps practices, ensuring secure and efficient deployment for advanced manufacturing applications. The architect will contribute significantly to the organization's mission of transforming manufacturing through applied AI and automation.

Responsibilities

• Set architectural vision for AI/ML product platforms that power critical industry processes.
• Design secure, performant multi-tenant cloud and on-premises architectures from the ground up.
• Lead the adoption of advanced MLOps practices, data governance, and performance monitoring at scale.
• Shape product reliability and security standards for high-stakes, global deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years leading high-impact backend/platform teams.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep hands-on experience building scalable MLOps, including data & model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, and secure multi-tenant deployments (cloud/on-premise).
  • Technical mastery of AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in event-driven/cloud-native platforms and robust data engineering (both streaming and batch).
  • Proven ability to design reliable data pipelines integrating operational streaming (FDC/SPC), ERP/PLM/BOM systems, and unstructured data (PDFs/images).
  • Practitioner mindset focused on reliability (SLIs/SLOs), observability, cybersecurity, and compliance (SOC2/ISO).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills across distributed, high-caliber teams.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with industrial AI applications and advanced manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of data compliance and regulatory requirements in high-stakes environments.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years in software engineering, with significant leadership experience in platform development and MLOps.
