Practice Development Lead
Job Summary
The Practice Development Lead will be responsible for managing a sales area for Align Technology, promoting and selling Invisalign products. This role focuses on establishing and developing account relationships, driving practice growth in assigned territories, and proactively engaging with existing and potential customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical device or dental equipment sales, a proven sales record, and the ability to drive high performance in a rapidly growing business. The position requires excellent business development skills and the ability to collaborate closely with internal teams to achieve organizational targets.
Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, operational plans, and profitability goals within the assigned territory.
- Manage assigned accounts, providing direction, motivation, and development of sales plans, targets, and strategies.
- Submit comprehensive weekly and monthly reports, including customer feedback and market intelligence.
- Take ownership of the sales area, including its planning and development, as a business unit.
- Collaborate with colleagues to build a high-performance sales team and maintain detailed product knowledge.
- Conduct in-field assessments to evaluate customer, product, and system knowledge.
- Build and maintain ethical business relationships with customers to increase product usage and market share.
- Maintain professional dress code and demeanor at all times.
- Participate actively in team initiatives to achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Monitor competitor activities and update the Marketing Manager on market trends.
- Ensure accurate quality updates and maintain customer product feedback records.
- Engage with certified and non-certified doctors to expand the Invisalign provider network and increase business.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for account development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Dentistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, medical device sales, or dental equipment sales.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in dental or orthodontic product sales.
- Prior experience managing high-value accounts and developing new business opportunities.
- Understanding of the healthcare and dental industry landscape in India.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales reporting tools.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Experience
- 6-12 years of relevant experience in medical device sales, dental equipment sales, or business development.
- Candidates should be below 35 years of age.
Environment
- Locations: Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Madurai, Mangalore, Hubli.
- Reporting to: Respective regional heads.
- The role requires frequent fieldwork, client visits, and collaboration with internal teams.
- The position may involve travel within the assigned territory.
- Office and client-facing environments.
Salary
- INR 12 - 19 LPA
