Job Summary

As the Head/VP of Platform Engineering, you will architect, build, and scale the core platform of Pulse, ensuring it evolves alongside advancements in AI research. This founding engineering leadership role demands a hands-on approach, allowing you to build from 0 to 1 and shape a world-class engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire frontend platform architecture and implementation end-to-end.
• Lead development of complex, high-performance user interfaces from 0 to 1.
• Build scalable, maintainable frontend systems using modern frameworks.
• Translate product and design requirements into polished, production-ready experiences.
• Define frontend engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Optimize for performance, responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend systems and AI-powered services.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend/AI teams to deliver cohesive experiences.
• Mentor engineers and foster a high-caliber frontend engineering culture.
• Drive platform decisions that support scale, reliability, and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior/Lead Full Stack or Frontend Engineer with clear ownership of frontend systems.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Deep experience building production-grade frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and component design.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams.
• Expertise with Git and modern version-control workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling products from scratch (0 → 1).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for UI/UX quality.
• Ability to operate as an independent individual contributor (IC) while collaborating cross-functionally.
• Enthusiasm for Generative AI and large language model (LLM)-powered products, particularly in relation to frontend UX.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building or contributing to design systems and component libraries.
• Familiarity with performance optimization, accessibility (a11y), and frontend testing frameworks.
• Exposure to backend technologies such as Node.js and databases.
• Experience in early-stage startup environments or fast-moving product teams.

Experience

• 6–15 years of relevant experience in platform engineering or frontend development.

Environment

• This position is based in Hyderabad and is an in-office role, as it involves close collaboration with other team members.
