Analyst 1 Infrastructure Services

Job Summary

The Analyst 1 Infrastructure Services role is designed to support the infrastructure services team by leveraging technical expertise in Linux environments and cloud technologies. This position is critical in ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of infrastructure services, contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux services such as NTP, SMTP, BIND, and Apache on cloud-deployed instances.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on Linux distributions including RedHat, SUSE, and Ubuntu.
• Manage server consolidation and virtualization for hardware reduction and site migrations via V2V and P2V.
• Provide proactive ticketing workflow and queue management to ensure timely execution of tasks.
• Assist vendors with the implementation of new servers, adhering to bank-standard build and QA processes.
• Create mechanisms for rapid recovery and repair of faulty migrations, ensuring fault tolerance and understanding failure domains.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Linux server scripting (Shell/Perl) and automation technologies.
  • Experience with RedHat Satellite server and Nagios Monitoring Fusion and XI server.
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage concepts and architecture, specifically 3PAR Technology.
  • Familiarity with network tools such as iptables and Linux IPVS.
  • Experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of VMware components including vCenter and vCenter Operations Manager.
• Soft Skills: Highly customer-focused, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and services.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and high availability practices in infrastructure.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in a role delivering infrastructure services, with a focus on Linux and cloud technologies.
