Job Summary

The Java WMS Developer is responsible for completing technical designs for new features and enhancements in warehouse management systems (WMS), performing software testing, and providing support to production applications. This role contributes to the smooth operation of WMS applications by managing existing systems and addressing production issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features and enhancements for the WMS application.
• Manage and maintain the WMS system, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct software testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide production support, addressing bugs and issues proactively.
• Coordinate with team members to implement solutions for future enhancements.
• Utilize programming skills to create and maintain efficient applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8 years of development experience.
• Proficient in server-side programming in Java, Python, and other object-oriented languages.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and SQL.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is advantageous.
• Familiarity with any WMS system is preferred.
• Experience with Progress Open Edge ABL/4GL and Open Edge RDBMS concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency in using Postman for testing APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with programming in Progress App server and Progress Database.

Experience
