Job Summary
The Engineering Manager will lead a talented engineering team, overseeing the development lifecycle of our GRC platform. This role is critical in ensuring that we meet our product objectives while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving technical excellence and guiding the team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the entire software development process, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to define product vision and roadmap.
- Implement best practices in software development including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
- Foster a culture of innovation and agile practices, encouraging team members to propose and experiment with new ideas.
- Ensure alignment of engineering projects with business goals and timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in software development, preferably using Node.js.
- Proven track record of managing engineering teams, particularly in a startup environment.
- Familiarity with AI-driven solutions is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience as a founding engineer or in early-stage startups is highly desirable.
