Performance Tester (AWS)

Job Summary

As an SRE Performance Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications hosted on AWS. You will design and execute performance tests across AWS infrastructure—with a focus on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and Lambda functions—and provide actionable insights to optimize system performance. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring exceptional user experiences and meeting the organization’s performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Test Plans: Create, implement, and execute performance test plans for applications running on AWS.
• Analyze Performance Results: Evaluate test outcomes to identify bottlenecks and areas that need improvement.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to understand application architecture and requirements, and to ensure optimal resource configuration.
• Monitor Application Performance: Continuously track performance in real time and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Automate Testing Processes: Develop automated performance testing scripts and integrate them seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document Processes: Maintain clear records of testing procedures, results, and improvement recommendations for stakeholders.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in performance testing and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Performance Tester with proven experience focusing on AWS services.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services including EKS, Lambda, EC2, and RDS.
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies and best testing practices.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or interest in SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices is a strong plus.
• Exposure to additional cloud platforms and advanced performance monitoring tools.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in performance testing within AWS environments.

Environment

• Location: Pune
• Notice Period: Immediate joiners to 10-day notice period.
